Features

An ESXi control panel with everything you need to run VMware VMs

ExoVM covers the tasks your team and your customers do every day, on the vCenter and ESXi hosts you already run. Nothing to install inside your VMs.

In short

ExoVM is a web-based control panel for VMware vCenter and ESXi that brings VM inventory, power operations, an in-browser console, snapshots and ISO mounting into one place. Admins add connectors and targets, create customer users, assign VMs and set per-user quotas. Customers get a clean panel with only their VMs, and VM actions and access changes land in an audit log.

Inventory

Every VM from every site, in one list

The connector syncs your VM inventory into the panel. Connect several vCenter servers across as many sites as you run, and see them together.

  • VM list and detail view: CPU, RAM, disk, guest OS, IP and power state
  • vCenter Server targets
  • Multiple connectors and targets in one panel

Power

Power operations from the browser

Handle the everyday fixes without opening vSphere Client. Each action goes through your connector and is recorded in the audit log.

  • Power on
  • Power off
  • Guest reboot (uses VMware Tools in the guest, as it does in vSphere)

Console

A VM console in a browser tab

Open a VM’s console straight from the panel. ExoVM uses an HTML5 browser client. Your connector brokers each session with a short-lived, single-use ticket, and the browser never connects to vCenter.

  • No plugin and no vSphere Client for your team or your customers
  • Streams served over TLS from your connector host on port 443
  • Compatibility depends on your ESXi hosts and guest configuration, so we validate it for your environment during onboarding

How the console path works

Snapshots

Snapshots without vSphere Client

Take a snapshot before a change and roll back if it goes wrong, from the VM page.

  • List snapshots
  • Create a snapshot
  • Revert to a snapshot
  • Delete a snapshot

ISO mount

Mount ISO images from a datastore

Attach an ISO image from the ISO folder you configure on a datastore to a VM’s virtual drive, for installs and recovery work, without leaving the panel.

Notes

Context for each VM

Notes let your team record what a VM is for and who owns it.

Customers and access

Give each user exactly the VMs they need

Admins create customer users and assign specific VMs to each one. Customer users only see what’s assigned to them.

  • Create customer users from the admin panel
  • Assign specific VMs to specific users
  • Set per-user quotas
  • Customers need no vCenter account, VPN or vSphere Client

How isolation works

Support

Support tickets built in

Customers open tickets from the panel where their VMs already are. Your team replies in the same place.

Audit log

Know who did what, and when

Power, console, snapshot and ISO requests, VM assignments and role changes are recorded with the user, the action and the time.

Administration

Run it all from the admin dashboard

The admin dashboard gives you the overview. From there you add connectors and targets, manage users and assignments, and keep an eye on quotas and tickets.

  • Add connectors and vCenter targets
  • Create customer users and assign VMs
  • Set per-user quotas
  • Review tickets and the audit log

Languages

English and Turkish

The panel is available in English and Turkish, for your team and for your customers.

Feature questions

Does ExoVM install anything inside my VMs?

No. ExoVM is agentless: it talks to the vSphere APIs of your vCenter Server. As in vSphere, a guest reboot relies on VMware Tools already running in the guest.

Will the console work with every VM?

ExoVM’s console is an HTML5 client that runs in the browser with no plugin. Console behaviour depends on your ESXi hosts and guest configuration, so we validate compatibility for your environment during onboarding.

Can I connect more than one vCenter?

Yes. ExoVM runs one connector per vCenter server, and you manage them all from one panel.
